March Garden 2018

Helleborus x sternii

Paeonia mascula (Peony)

Ribes sanguineum 'White Icicle' (Flowering Currant)

Kitty & Toby

Hebe 'Red Edge'

Veronica 'Georgia Blue'

Arctostaphylos 'Sunset' (Manzanita)

Petasites frigidus (Coltsfoot)

New growth that began as early as January progressed quickly in March, especially toward the end of the month.  The average temperature was only 0.2 degrees below normal at 46.3 degrees.  The highest temperature was 73 on 3/12 which set a record for that day.  The lowest temperature was 33 on 3/4.  The total of 2.44 inches of rain was 1.28 inches below normal.  That made it possible to spend many days working in the garden.  By the end of the month it looked very nice.
