Christmas day was cold & sunny. Rusty made breakfast. We ate. We took the goodies out of our stockings that were hung on the bannister. Then we moved to the living room to open gifts. Some were thoughtful. Some were useful. Some were comical. Our joy was somewhat muted due to the loss of a close family member for each of us: Steve's partner David in July, Rusty's mother Peggy in September & Jordan's father Seth in November. It was our second Christmas at Ell Alley.
We spent Christmas Eve (dinner at Chinook's) & Christmas night (dinner at cousin Carol's house plus fun & games) with Jordan's family. We had a busy evening the night before Christmas Eve, when we visited Steve's friend David at his beautiful (& beautifully decorated) home, had dinner at Talulah's, then went to a party at the home of Steve's coworker Donna, in a historic Anhalt building.
