We all went to the Triangle Recreation Campground for the weekend. Jordan went up on Friday afternoon with our friend John & his dog Reba. Rusty & Steve came a few hours later with our dog Jetta. Jordan & John made dinner in the cabin. Rusty & Steve ate at a restaurant along the way. The campground was mostly empty that last weekend in July 2017. John, Reba & Jordan hiked the Heather Lake Trail. The trail went 2 miles up a steep mountain slope, then about half a mile around the lake, at 2400 feet in elevation. The elevation gain was 1000. The slope was densely forested, while the margins of the lake were mostly bog & meadow. It took 5 hours. Steve made dinner that night. Rusty made breakfast on Sunday morning. Then John, Reba & Jordan went back to Seattle at noon, after taking a walk down to the South Fork Stillaguamish River. Rusty & Steve worked on the campsite both days. Jetta wandered around the campsite & went for walks around the campground. This link shows photos of our weekend.
