August Garden 2017
The garden in August was very dry. For the first time in 120 years of record-keeping, Seattle’s high temperatures in July & August were all 70 degrees or more. Only .02 inches of rain fell in July & August. That matched the record low for July-August precipitation in 1914. It was the driest summer in 103 years. The highest temperature was 94 on 8/3. The lowest was 54 on 8/26. The mean temperature was 3.2 degrees above normal.
