Dead Horse Canyon / Lakeridge Park 2019

Jordan & Rusty went for a walk in Dead Horse Canyon on Monday July 15. Rusty had never been there before. Jordan hadn’t been there in more than 10 years. It was quite beautiful. There is about 1 mile of trail mostly along one side of the ravine. But there are also 2 bridges that cross the ravine. Calling it a canyon makes it sound deeper than it is: ravine seems more accurate. Taylor Creek flows through the bottom of the ravine to Lake Washington. The park is entirely forested. Dead Horse Canyon is also called Lakeridge Park, because it is located in the Lakeridge neighborhood of Seattle at the southern city limits. It’s 5 miles (17 minutes driving) from Ell Alley.
